Sounds tasty, especially your choice of Gruyere cheese, one of my favorites. I love to make fritattas too.


Kalyn - the best thing about a frittat is that the recipe is so forgiving - you can toss pretty well anything in there! LOL

The leftovers were great on toasted english muffins yesterday.

Putting buttermilk in a frittata is new to me, but what a good idea! Sure wish I had some of the fruit salad right now...

Laurie - generally they use cream. I'm trying to avoid my usual weight gain over the holidays so I used low-fat buttermilk. I generally replace all cream with it. We really enjoy the tang!

Sciemtist - the only thing which would have made it better would have been had it been breakfast in bed. One of these days I shall move on! LOL

    We left the snow behind and headed to California for a long weekend of fun. We shoppedm toured wineries, tasted olive oil, met up with good friends, and ate some wonderful food. I can't wait for slow bowl 2009.
