    At the end of June mom, Paul, and I drove to Maine where we spent a wonderful vacation. These photos show some of the highlights.

Slow Bowl 2008

  • The Haul
    We left the snow behind and headed to California for a long weekend of fun. We shoppedm toured wineries, tasted olive oil, met up with good friends, and ate some wonderful food. I can't wait for slow bowl 2009.

So beautiful, I think that is the most beautiful pecan pie that I have ever seen. Happy to see you venturing into the baking/pastry world...you put me to shame already.

Lucky you to get a horde of pecans Jerry. When given a bag of salted mixed nuts at Christmas every year I used to save the cashews but as years went by by I found that I loved the pecans the most. This pie is a keeper!

It was a brilliant horde bellini. I've come to appreciate pecans more and more as the years have flown by as well.
