This week's Photo Hunt theme is 'kite'.
Did I ever struggle with this theme! I was busy searching for pictures of kids flying kites at any of the beaches I've been to (not many, since I abhor beaches). Then I remembered that there are birds which are kites - birds of prey - and that a few years ago we had seen some while hiking at nearby Crawford Falls.
That is the bird, and here is the falls . . .

I didn't know until this weekend that there are birds called kites. Great photo. Thanks for coming to see mine..

We have kites here as well but I didn't have a pic of one. They are fascinating to watch as they hunt. I love their grace and determination.
The waterfall was worth the walk.

The best things about the falls Vicki is that you can crawl in behind it - there is a hallowed out cave - and watch the water fall from behind.
