This week's Photo Hunt theme is 'bells'.
It was funny - we arrived in Venice yesterday in the pouring rain. The water taxi (because when one arrives in Venice style and comfort is everything) dropped us off near our hotel at exactly noon and the bells of the city rang. We took it as a happy omen!
Our hotel is the wonderful Abbazia - a restored convent.
This giant built-in clock is right outside our room:
I do hope I don't hear any bells chime out during the night!

So happy that you had a safe trip and have arrived in Venice. Enjoy your trip...I know it will be wonderful spending Christmas in Italy. I do hope you don't hear bells while trying to sleep.
