Our friend Nancy arrived in Rome yesterday morning. Knowing that this was her first international flight in years we figured she'd need some time to recover. We took it easy - letting her settle in.
After a nap she tried her hair straightener which she realized (after burning off a clump of hair) didn't adjust well to the change in voltage!
Once that disaster was dealt with we set off to explore the neighbourhood.
You'll note the footwear . . .
We popped into Gelatro Del Teatro - thought to be the best in Rome.
Take her over to L'Arcobaleno in the Ghetto for a hair straightener. That's where I bought my hair dryer.

What a perfect way to acclimate Nancy to Rome...you are so thoughtful. Fun to see it all. Gelato! When Matt was in Italy for 11 days, he was eating Gelato twice a day and gained 5 pounds before returning to the USA and swim practice...his coaches were calling him Gelato Butt for weeks! lol

She decided that she just didn't care about straight hair Rebecca. Of course, I being male couldn't tell the difference. LOL
Twice a day? WOW That is a habit! I generally had some every other day - it was December after all. :-)
