This week's theme is beautiful. What a challenge for photographers - I mean, we take pictures of things because we think that they are beautiful or interesting. I had hundreds, if not thousands of photos to wade through. Happily I didn't have to look at any family shots - you will not be seeing anyone from my extended family up on a catwalk anytime soon!
I finally narrowed it down to these two pictures (although I didn't bother going through the stacks of DVDs where I have pictures stored from before I bought this new PC). I won't be obsessive about this, I won't! Well, maybe just a little bit. *smile*
Funny that both of these pictures are from trips to California when we have been to so many different places over the years.
Jellyfish swimming in the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It is stunning how they move through the blue lit water while classical music plays. I could have stood there all day.
The sun setting over the Pacific Ocean at mouth of the Russian River as the fog rolls in. Jenner, CA
Both are awesome takes on the theme! You're right that this was a challenging theme because there are so many choices!

They are both beautiful but that jelly fish one is beautiful and scarey all at once.

Jerry, that is the most amazing photo of jellyfish I've ever seen. SERIOUSLY... You should submit it to a nature magazine!

It's not just the camera but the eye of the beholder. You have a real gift Jerry! I am continuously impressed (make that BLOWN AWAY) by your photos and all that you do. Incredible photos.

The jelly fish photo is awesome! It almost looks like they are made of Murano glass (can you tell I have Venice on my mind?).
The sunset is gorgeous! So peaceful and beautiful.

Thanks for your comments - if you are even in Monterey check out the aquarium - the jellyfish room is stunning. I actually want to go back now that I have a new camera!

Those are great choices, Jerry -- both very beautiful, in very different ways. The colours in the jellyfish shot are stunning.

The light from the setting sun is perfect in your Jenner photo. I love that area. Now you've got me wanting to go back. :)
Beautiful photos for this week's theme.

Marta - we've visited Jenner twice (and eaten at the River's End both times). I really wnat to go back - especially since we've discovered sea kayaking.
Thanks Jane!
Irene - it is a great aquarium - and I generally don't like them at all.
Thanks OAWB!

"I actually want to go back now that I have a new camera!"
Any time Jerry! Please, come back and we would love to go to the MBA with you this time.
Your "jellies" shot is stunning. I agree it should be entered into a photo contest - International.
