Today's photo hunt theme is thankful. This was the hardest one yet.
There are so many things in the world that I am thankful for . . . a partner who loves me - in spite of myself, a loving and supportive family, caring friends, a good job that provides on so many different levels, a roof over my head, all the food that I want, health, the ability to travel, art (in so many different forms), wine, laughter, the independence to do what I want when I want, the freedom to make mistakes and hopefully to learn from them . . . it just goes on and on. How could one picture possibly encompass all of the things that I am thankful for . . .
I am thankful that the sun rises and sets each day allowing me to experience all of the joys (and the sadness) in the world each and every day; a constant reminder that a life is to be lived . . .

This picture was taken last October as we sat on the patio by our hotel in Ocean Beach. It was lovely to sit there, looking out over the Pacific, and watch the colour from the fading sun dance on the waves.
Thanks for visiting on photo hunt Saturday! Now off to visit a few myself. . . .
