Jerry, Bet I would like it "Hot". It looks so hearty. I've really enjoyed keeping up with the Slow Soupers through everyone's blogs. I'll try these one by one as time permits.

It was one of the heartiest soups yet - and one of the few with a beef base. We will be making this one again!

This was a staple at my house growing up. It was one of the first things I ever learned to cook and it still shows up on the dinner table regularly. 8)

Laura - I can't believe that you never shared! LOL Apparently you were too busy making spaghetti sauce with special, but secret, ingredients.

Oh, I so wanted a recipe for something like this. I used to get soup for lunch at a little place and it closed and I have missed it so much...this looks and sounds very similar...I can't wait to try it. Thanks! In case you were wondering, maybe half hot and half mild spicing...LOL.

It is funny how many people have had this soup before. I must have been living in a cave or something because I had never heard of it before Kaydee posted the recipe! LOL
