Good point - what a total packaging madness.

Ria

this is a good reminder about how we have to be responsible for our messes!!!

That's a lot of excess plastic. Great take on this week's theme.

Aloha from Maui!
Great choice of picture for this week's PH theme.

Good for you on cutting down on your plastic use. It's a good thing to do, for sure.

And LOL at that "not green" airplane meal. Great pic.

Karen @ If I Could Escape

Good for you on cutting back on nasty plastic waste. Happy weekend!

Laura

Eeeuuuuwww. Airline meals. Isn't the food itself made of plastic?

Marta

Good post. I've thought the same thing. Some airlines do try to recycle the cups and I think they do reuse the hard plastic (plates/cutlery). Or at least I hope they do.

María I.

I cringed at the amount of plastic on that tray. I haven't seen a meal tray on a US domestic flight in a long time. Not that I miss the food ...

I remember a time before hijackings and 9/11 when there were actually meals on airlines, with glass plates and real knives, forks and spoons. It was a time when air travel was fun... now... an absolute dread...

Mine is up here.

Airlines really do go overboard with their plastic. Great choice for this week's photohunt.

Jerry

The amount of waste is incredible isn't it?

Re the food - happily we were returning from Italy so the plane had beem loaded up with food that was almost edible.

Thanks for visiting on photo hunt Saturday!

Marites

yeah, that's how travel can be so very "plastic" driven. i get those trash too each time i travel.

Jerry

It is hard to not amass a huge pile of waste isn't it Marites!
