While we were away my cousin Joanne was taking care of the house and catering to Beckett's every whim. She did a great job of this and included watering the plants in her duties. She experienced a problem with one of the hanging planters though. Apparently a mourning dove decided that it was the perfect spot for a nest! ARGH
By the time we returned it was sitting contently on what I presume are eggs.
Watering the planter is now rather a challenge! Some might suggest that I just stay away and let the dove do her thing . . . I am too cheap for that and this planter cost $ 40! Besides, we have too damn many doves around here anyway.
Now before you get all Pamela Anderson (without the attraction to disease laden former rock stars I trust) on me - I am taking care not to disturb the bird when I water. It is, however, a pain in the ass!
(that being the technical term)
How long do dove eggs take to hatch anyway?
Well, of course, she's nesting there. It's such an attractive spot! Hopefully she won't leave any "gifts" for her new landlords.

It is a great spot to hang out for a bird. one would think that she might get a bit anxious with all of the folks coming and going but apparently not!

Ick, what a nightmare for you (I really do hate birds, except robins)
I'll bet Beckett could solve your problem very quickly and neatly (altho I suppose some would consider that a harsh statement.)
