This week's Photo Hunt theme is 'painted'. This picture was taken last Saturday while we were in Ottawa. This shows detail in the sanctuary - the ornamentation was undertaken in 1876 to 1885. One of the things that fascinated us was the amount of painted details int he church - even the columns were painted to LOOK like marble.
Thanks for drawing our (my) attention to the painted columns. Wouldn't have realized they were not marble otherwise! :b

Jerry, I had to click on the photo to really see the detail, that I thought WAS marble. That! is a lot of work. Great take for this week. Happy Weekend.
