LOVED the GOOGLE doodle for Canada Day yesterday!!!
Our celebrations were a bit muted here - I got on a plane to France. For us Canada Day was a frenzy of packing made even more interesting by the continued presence of this damn cold, my Blackberry acting in an untoward manner, and the generaly last minute trials and tribulations that always happen when one prepares to be away for a couple of weeks.
Depending upon when you read this I shall either be in Paris awaiting a flight to Montpellier or in Montpellier getting settled in. We have a group of 40 teachers learning and travelling in France and Italy this July and I am popping over to ensure that things are running as they should. I'll be home in time for my birthday and then back on a plane to San Diego for 5 days of training.
I anticipate being fully exhausted by July 25th when I am next in the office.
So, I spent Canada Day preparing to travel. We did manage a lunch of maple leaf shaped ravioli before the driver picked me up for the trip to the airport but that was as 'Canada Day' as we got around here.
Yesterday I featured my annual Canada Day quiz (thanks to the find folks at the Dominion Institute) today the answers . . .
