Canada is 145 years young today.
There'll be plenty of beer drunk, grills fired up, and fireworks across the country today.
I, on the other hand, plan on jetting across the Atlantic to France followed by a short stay in Italy. We have 40 teachers who will be there working on professional courses and I am supervising them to ensure that all goes as planned. Least you think 'what a freaking cushy gig' . . . you have no idea how much work this has been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH ARGH ARGH
Now enough about my angst.
It's become a tradition around here to have a Canada Day quiz on Canada Day to test your knowledge of all things Canadian.
Here is this year's edition . . .
The quiz is prepared by the Historica-Dominion Institute which is the largest independent organization dedicated to history and citizenship in Canada. Its mandate is to build active and informed citizens through a greater knowledge and appreciation of the history, heritage and stories of Canada. To learn more, please visit www.historica-dominion.ca
