Well, it is finally here. The day my routine for the past 12 years gets upended. As you know, I do not deal well with upended routines however the office has moved from under me so I either upend my routine or show up at a building where I no longer work. :-(
It was about 8 years ago that ETFO bought a piece of land on the other side of the downtown core. Heck, it was so far from the nearest Starbucks as to be in Siberia. The land had JUST been rezoned by the city so we need to apply for a subsequent rezoning. The local community did NOT want an office building. I remember at the time thinking I would be retired by the time the new office was ready.
Well, today is the day and it is ready but I am not retired.
Last Tuesday staff were bussed over to the building for an orientation session. I arrived early and stood in the rain for a spell so I could capture some images of people seeing their new workplace for the first time . . .
It is bright, modern, green, and designed to encourage collaboration and interaction.
Now if only I can find all of my boxes. :-)
Wow -- gorgeous building! And your new office (I'm assuming that's it) looks so good on you. :-)

It is gorgeous Sharon - what a wonderful environment in which to work!
Kayte - I should post a pic now that I am all settled in - it looks a bit more like 'home' now . . .
