I finally gave in and bought a new car last month - the Sante Fe was 10 years old, had close to 250,000 KM on it, and was fading quickly. I decided I needed to buy something made in Canada and made by unionized workers. I looked around and fell upon a Lincoln MKX which is made nearby in Oakville.
It was supposed to be 6 - 8 weeks so I didn't anticipate it would be ready until May - tough for a guy who wants what he wants NOW!
On Wednesday I had a call from the dealer - it was in!
Happy days.
On Saturday I took one last spin in the old Sante Fe.
The final stop was the dealer where our new car was waiting.
You know, I am not really a car person - it is a thing to get me from one spot to another. That being said, this is a SWEET drive. If you're going to go in a car it might as well have all the bells and whistles, be comfortable, and have a killer sound system.
Happy Jerry!!!
