Paul and I are away camping this weekend so it seemed like it was a great time to post about my last weekend away which was spent in Stowe, Vermont.
One of my friends was turning 50 and decided that she wanted to spend her birthday in Vermont. After searching for a nice spot to rent she settled upon Stowe.
Another friend agreed to drive so we loaded up in the car and spent all day Friday driving - 10 hours in the car is a long way to go for a weekend.
With Paul not driving I spend a lot of time in the driver's seat of our car. It was wonderful to spend a long chunk of time as a passenger. I thought that I would be a nightmare as a passenger (controlling being that I am) but other than one incident where I was sure Joanne was going to plow right into the car in front of us I was not that bad.
I had been warned that I'd be bored in Stowe - nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, I could have spent weeks there! I ask you . . . how could you not spend a long time in the vicinity of the Ben and Jerry's factory?
It was a great weekend of walking/hiking/eating/shopping/touring/laughing ...and then we loaded up everything in the car and headed back home eager to return.
I too about 200 photos so I'll be featuring some now and many more in the weeks ahead . . .
